Deep in the Mess of Night

Randy Greif’s Easy Green Proof has long been an audio inspiration to my work, especially a piece called Deep in the Mess of Night, which was a collaboration between he and Alva Svoboda.  This is a progress shot of a larger piece I’m creating that really captures the thicket of layers of that piece.

New Pieces in the Works

After some time of having a serious creative block, I’m seeing some breaking of the clouds and am moving forward on new work.  Dealing with the theme of a perceived event that occurred when I was three, this piece is an evolving result of the new effort at making work that speaks to my own past.

This small piece relates to the strategies of one of my favorite games (though I rank merely as a somewhat mediocre player) – chess.  More work to go on this one, however.
